A silk twillie with images of gold jewelry from the heyday of Sarmatian culture was created in collaboration with the Kherson Regional Museum of Local Lore.
Gold jewelry dating back to the first century BC was found in 1985 near the village of Solontsi in Oleshkiv district.
A gold earring with the head of a Lion, spiral multi-turn bracelets, a diadem with amber and garnets, rectangular plates with griffins and hares ( by the way, the plates were made by the Scythians) - all these jewelry pieces are full of motifs with a special meaning, they are magical amulets-talismans that appealed to powerful mystical forces.
Unfortunately, the Sarmatian jewelry belonging to the "Museum Secrets" exhibition was stolen by the Russian invaders during the occupation of Kherson and taken to the annexed Crimea.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of the twillie goes to the urgent needs of the museum.
